We are excited to welcome Patrick Wood, a new Coordinator at the Global Research Centre for Diverse Intelligences who joins the team from 19 June 2025. Below is some information about Patrick.

Patrick earned his Bachelor of Communication (with distinction) from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He initially worked in audio visual systems and event coordination before discovering a new passion for animal cognition research. He has since worked to support research across parrots, crows, dogs and primates with research groups at the University of Auckland, University of California, San Diego and Johns Hopkins University. 

Joining the University of St Andrews, Patrick is excited to lead initiatives that will connect researchers from across the Diverse Intelligences community and creatively share their discoveries with a wider audience.
